Friday the 13th is a twelve film franchise which includes:

   - 10 sequels

   - 1 remake

   - 1 crossover with Nightmare on Elm Street

   - Some great fan-made films

 

The franchise icon is Jason Voorhees, a living then undead, always unstoppable, hockey-mask wearing, machete wielding, killer who stalks Crystal Lake, NJ. 

Although, Jason isn't always the killer... but he is important in every installment. (Unlike Halloween III).
